The nearest Archdeacon to you would be, I think, the Ven. Dan Gifford. His contact information can be found <a href="http://www.stjohnsvancouver.org/about-us/meet-the-staff.php"rel="nofollow" rel="nofollow">here</a>.

In looking at the list of associated clergy, I'm not sure who would be my local archdeacon. I live in Yellowknife, part of the Diocese of the Arctic. Thanks!

I agree
it would be very nice to connect in some way with other orphans. I dont think you understand the needs if you are not one. I was hoping for more than a one time email putting me on an invisible list. It is hard to maintain any sense of being an Anglican if you are not connected some way. I really dont want to connect anywhere else because it would not be right to dump them if and when other Anglicans are ready to leave the ACoC. But you need to be connected and its getting too long to wait....

Um, no. Anyone is free to comment however he or she likes - nobody is preventing or discouraging anything, other than the posting of personal contact information, which is a reasonable precaution.

Kate I disagree - The nature of Orphans is that they do not have a sufficent Anglican Community to go to. Discussion and encouragement would greatly assist those in isolation. to the end that perhaps Church plant could be the result. Certainly you must agree that participating on a Blog such as yours is at least as real as sitting in one's living room watching TV evangelists on your Sunday morning. I agree with your attempts to put people together this would greatly encourage creative thought, and with a sense of oneness, great Spiritual strengthening. You continue however, to discourage Blog use. There may be other reasons I am not aware of, again you are welcome to e-mail me personally if this is the case.

I want to put people in touch with each other In Real Life. Conversation on a blog isn't much use if you have no Christian community to go to on Sunday morning.

David once again My choice of words create confusion. My #8 was said in response to Kate's seemingly contradictory instruction to my allegory. which primarily was designed to get orphans to start using this Blog. NOT IN USING THEIR REAL NAMES. Her “If you are interested in contacting other Anglican orphans, send an email to the blog contact page with “orphans” in the subject line." This appears to direct orphans away from dialogue on this page and into a void that does not offer full dialogue and support from the rest of us.
I hope this confusion is what is keeping Orphan's and others from getting involved, otherwise I fear that the orphan situation is not as bad as I suspected. Nothing excites me more than hearing from someone attending an ACoC Church who is fed up and trying to decide what to do. Far to many have left Anglicanism all together, and more will follow.

Stuck,
I was responding to this:
<blockquote>Can orphans not identify themselves as they wish here on this blog? </blockquote>

To reiterate: please do not post personal contact information on the blog; instead, follow the directions at the top of this post.
