Essentials Canada is not an official body of the Anglican Church of
Canada, and therefore has no official voice at the General Synod.
That said, they will certainly be on site trying to influence things
from the sidelines, as has been the case for the last several
meetings of the General Synod. But to suggest that the General Synod
is in some way influenced by “the master of the apostates”, whoever
that might be, and to try to be present as a smiling influence strike
me as fundamentally incompatible if not perverse.

Misconception #1 This blog is not an official voice of Anglican Essentials Canada, as we have made very clear in our disclaimer.

Misconception #2 The quote is from a commenter, not a blogger. People from every walk and station in life comment here, and we blog admins don’t edit excessively.

Update: Peter reminded me of something I’d forgotten when I wrote the original post. From the comments:

I think Essentials presence at GS might well be limited to this editorially independent blog.

Also FYI, ACA (the body working for orthodox solely within the ACoC) made a conscious decision to move away from the AEC organisation. Their efforts at GS are independent of ours (which for us are limited to reporting anyway).

Ain’t it interesting how the “libs” wriggle and squeal when their duplicity is exposed!!! :) :):):) For them to heave insults at True Bible Believing Christians is deemed OK and even desirable! But when God’s Truth reveals their clandestine covert designs they scream violation and try to make any such revelations anathema in their events that pretend to be open and democratic – ie GS.

    stuck [#5],

It’s a LISTSERV group, something which flourished in the pre-historic era before blogs and forums became popular.

    It’s stated purpose is:

CanAng-L is a forum for the discussion of theology, history, liturgy,
spirituality, social justice and other topics from the point of view of
Canadian Anglicanism. It is intended to foster communication among Canadian Anglicans and others, and will provide an opportunity for networking, sharing of information and ideas and research collaboration.
Of course all are welcome, whether Canadian or not, whether Anglican or not. It is also a place to share joys and pains, and to just visit and get to know each other.

It is inclined to be liberal
