 From Hope Standard

Bishops Charlie Masters, Don Harvey and Rev. Archie Pell

Last Sunday was a special day for parishoners in the Anglican Church of the Resurrection. Two of the country’s five presiding Bishops were in Hope, and participated in the Sunday, November 22, service.

The Anglican Church of the Resurrection was the first church to be welcomed into the Anglican Network in Canada in 2006. The A.N.I.C. is an organization that gives orthodox Anglicans an alternative to the liberal Anglican Church of Canada.

I agree trav, but may I add both of our bishop’s would look good in sackcloth as well. As a matter of fact it occurs to me that should all the bishops gathered round the altar at the consecration of our three newest bishops been sackcloth attired, it would not have changed the strength and power as provided by the Holy Spirit to all present. Not that I would desire the elimination of symbolism, colour and majesty of the Princes of our church after all these are our self-proclaimed servants. -The first shall be last and the last shall be first. Praise God.
