Perhaps you should clarify on the orphans page that the archdeacon to be contacted is the ANiC Archdeacon, not the ACoC archdeacon…..or maybe I’m reading this wrong.

Obit once again I am forced to take you to task.
Our “Orphans” are those who have made or (because of their faith)are stuggling with the choice of Orthodoxy vs ACoC New Age religion. As a result the last thing they are is “LOST”. The worst you might say is they have been somewhat neglected due to the speed at which our new/old history is unfolding. that too is being rectified.

    Kate says:

Orphan is just a catch all word for folks who don’t have an ANiC church close and would want one. That’s all.

    Re 5 Obituary
At first I felt offended by the term “lost sheep”, but was then mindful of a stained glass window at St. George’s Owen Sound depicting a Sheppard “rescuing” a “lost sheep” that had strayed away from the flock. There is hope in God that those of us who do not have an ANiC Parish in our areas will someday have one.

    obituary says:

AMPisAnglican #8 . Well I’m glad that is cleared up. I myself feel I am a lost sheep tossed on the waves in Niagara with no where to call home. Terrified of the ACoC, unhappy with the ANiC and the Independents are too far away.
So I occasionally get to a rare Church of England service in Hamilton (yes you read that right) and turn up at the strangest places. (Yesterday it was clearing up debris from a lighting strike at St Giles Hamilton. They get hit a lot. Wonder what the preaching is like?)

Obit – May I ask why you are unhappy with ANiC they seem to be quite an up group in the Niagara Diocese?

    obituary says:

    Dear Stuck
Unhappiness stems from many reasons. And to think have so many of them as friends. It’s hard.

Obit you are welcome to my personal e-mail (From Kate) if you would like to communicate with me in private. -Kate please note.

Perhaps we can lean on each other

    obituary says:

Thanks for the offer but be careful. I am a trouble maker.

    Stuck in Toronto says:

I know! fortunately you can’t make trouble for me. Perhaps we, others included can make trouble for the one who wishes our souls.

  15. 15
    obituary says:

Yes I was remiss about whom I wish to trouble. You and your ilk are not on my list. Rather it is old scratch and his minions who terrify me. See above.

    Margo says:

obituary #15 – “old scratch” has been routed by Jesus’ work on the cross – “A word shall quickly slay him” – Luther hymn #405, 1938 hymn book – 2 Thess. 2:8 and the Great Commission. In His work on the cross Jesus returned to believers the authority that had been wrested from Adam in the Garden. Doesn’t mean of course that “old scratch” can’t inflict damage!

    Stuck in Toronto says:

Right on, there Margo in fact if our time were not shortened even the very elect of God would fail. Obit, I think Margo’s point is that we have nothing to fear from loosafur. The fact of fear is one of his tools and negates Our lord’s mighty victory.
    Blessings and fearlessness to all
