On another note, what sort of name is “obituary” #3? It is, in my opinion, a strange handle. Care to elaborate?

Dear Cheryl,

Your summaries are brilliant and reflect the force and the clarity of argument that applies, mutatis mutandis, right across Canada and beyond. The arguments you have summarised bring a wonderful clarity to the problem – will it be process or principle that determines and defines the form of Anglican witness? Division not separation is where we all, or at least many, are.

This is most helpful, most cogent and most important. It needs to find a wider audience. Canterbury needs to know that this is the situation. The arguments expose the idolatry of unprincipled autonomy.

OK this is off topic but I came to this site through the Anglican Essentials Federation web site. This is all very fine but what is the Federation doing linked to this blog which is basically Network material and why don’t they have one of their own where subjects pertaining to their mandate are posted?

Reading the account of the argument is like watching the German attack on Stalingrad.

Hopefully our leaders are not the type to issue a order like “Never Surrender”.
