Cynical to beggar belief? Coming in the middle of a property trial in which “some” Anglicans are fighting at great expense to defend their attachment to certain buildings, I prefer to charitibly dismiss it as a cheap shot.

Perhaps you might find the source of cheap shots in a mirror! It is presumptious of you to assume that the motive behind the trial is attachment to buildings. Some of us feel very strongly that the facilities will be used as they were intended to be if they are available to those in ANIC. But we won’t stay if the courts turn the properties over for the misuse of the diocese of New Westminster.

Michael Ingham’s comments are quite appropriate to those who are firstly Anglicans and secondarily Christians (I know this because I was once such).

#2: that comment applies far more to Ingham himself. He’s the one kicking and screaming about devout Anglicans “stealing” their own property, launching lawsuits against them, and pad-locking the empty buildings after their congregations have been purged.

Bricks and mortar are all this bishop values; the people themselves are entirely dispensable.
