That was funny!
Perfect. The Diocese of Niagara and the rest of the ACoC may be interested in this video for its next membership drive.
This just may not be humorous soon. It may be reality.
As my godfather, Peter Williams+, has often said, “most Anglican won’t realize that there’s anything wrong with the Church until they start sacrificing infants on the altar.” How true!
I especially liked the St. Arrius bit.
You know what the sad thing is? I am still not entirely certain that the fellow in the video was joking…
“The Church of St Arius of Alexandria”? Um, yeah, he’s definitely joking.
I’m with Kate. Until he mentioned Arius, I thought he was serious. What concerns me is that those who are not familiar with recent controversies may actually believe this is 21st century Christianity.
#7 Gordon: What is more worrisome is that there really are many real-time Episcopalians/Anglicans in high places that sound just like him. How many untaught people are being led to believe their teaching is 21st Century Christianity?
Is it not for the sake of the innocent during the recent controversies that you and all the rest of us are calling the alarm?
What a great video! It was posted at YouTube by mdb21093, who links to Mt. Calvary Church, Baltimore—an orthodox Anglo-Catholic parish in the Episcopal Diocese of Maryland.
Mt. Calvary has a gutsy sense of humour. This slogan is posted across the top of the church’s home page: “Mt. Calvary Church: Putting God in a very small box since 1842”
Awesome video.
A viewer of this at the ‘Stand Firm’ site wrote something that needs repeating: “you can’t make a joke about TEC [or the ACC] that doesn’t eventually become true.”
St. Arius of Alexandria (256-336 A.D.)

Are you SURE it’s a joke??!!
Come on!? First confession “… then we throw our first-born infants into the fire.” TEC is bad and encourages killing unborn infants, but no one has yet suggested tossing their first-born children into the flames! Of course it’s a joke.
