From Episcopal Life
Presiding Bishop Katharine Jefferts Schori was among those attending the JSC meeting, which was held behind closed doors at the Anglican Communion Office and Lambeth Palace in London. She noted that a November 26 report in The Times of London newspaper, that suggested the JSC had discussed plans to discipline the Anglican Province of the Southern Cone for its recent incursions into other provinces, was untrue. “The subject has not come up,” she told Episcopal News Service.

Just goes to show, a single source does not a story make. Especially when it’s the Times or the Torygraph, neither of which seem to have a great track record.
True. I don’t set much store by what KJS says either, of course.
Indeed.
The following is a quote from a comment made on a website called the Episcopal cafe under Daily Episcopalian the header for this article is called “Taking Over the Church of England” What I found was quite ironic as they describe us as militant evangelicals but then this person making the comment is dreaming of having her own KJS and I thought to myself….hmmm I’m not sure you can get more militant than that.
“I’m pretty sure that Williams doesn’t have the, um, spine (or other body parts) to work to eject the “Militant” Evangelicals; so I wonder what they’re going to try when Williams retires, especially since Gordon Brown (or whoever is PM then) probably won’t play much of a role in selecting the new ABC. Maybe they’ll put forward such a right-wing candidate (perhaps from Rochester) that the moderates and liberals will go along with another ineffectual appeaser, thus letting the Militants continue their takeover by infiltration.
Or perhaps God’s grace will intervene, and the CoE will end up getting its own version of Katharine Jefferts-Schori. That most likely won’t happen, but I can dream. “
Another article from the same website under the same heading “Daily Espiscopalian” called An “alternative” province? Why not? is actually quite interesting.
I would tell her, be careful what you wish for, you may get it…
