Sometime commenter on this blog, Brian DeVisser, was ordained to the transitional diaconate this evening at St. Alban’s Anglican church, by the Right Reverend Donald Harvey. Please use the comment section to wish Rev. Brian well, and to offer prayers for his ministry at the Kanata Lakes Christian Fellowship.
Congratulations, Deacon Brian!

We all take joy in your appointment. All blessings in your ministry!
Peace,
Jim
It was a privilege to be present at your ordination last night. You have been given an opportunity to spread the gospel to many in this community who have no knowledge of it, or who have heard only a distorted version of it. Shout it out with perseverance and humility. Put on the Armour of God and trust only in Him.
Brian, may the Lord richly bless you and your family as you dedicate yourself to His service and the preaching of His Word.
P.S. I had to look up “transitional diaconate” to make sure it was a good thing.
It just means that he will eventually be priested, rather than remain a deacon permanently.
Warren,
Having also grown up in a different denomination, I understand the need to look things up. And Kate, thanks for all that you did. Sarah is right, you are good people. Thank you to all who have been praying for me, and the others at Kanata Lakes Fellowship. Please continue to pray as we restart this fall.
your fellow unworthy servant in Christ,
Rev Brian DeVisser
Pastor Kanata Lakes Fellowship
I was wondering how long it would take you to notice the post!
Nice to finally see the Rev. in front of your name.
