The wording of this announcement fits in perfectly with the way the media would distort the facts. Considering the reckless abandonment of the authority of the Scripture and in many cases the basic doctrine accepted by the Anglican Communion througout the centuries, it would be more correct to call ECUSA and the ACoC regressive. Calling them “progressive” is along the same lines as calling pro-life organizations and personnel “anti-choice”.
Frank – good point.
