Prayer Request for Negotiations
Mar 27th, 2008 by Kate
The rector and wardens of St. Alban’s are meeting with the diocese of Ottawa some time this week (I think this afternoon, but I am not certain). Prayers for God’s will to be done would be appreciated. (Please, if you want to make political points about the current unpleasantness, do it on another thread).
Update - The meeting is today, between 3 and 5 pm. It is a “negotiation session”.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with God’s people, and may the LORD honour those who honour Him. Amen
Another prayer request. Our church is going to be having a meeting on Sunday where different views will be presented and debated. People will be given the oportunity to express what they think our church should be doing (staying in the diocees, leaving or waiting) etc. We already have a bit of a reputation with our bishop for being a bit outspoken and there is some concern that if the diocees finds out we are having this meeting there will be back lash. We are not bringing this to a vote at this time, just giving people a chance to explore the issues and express their opinions. Pray for God’s peace and wisdom and that people’s hearts and minds will be challenged.
My prayers are with you. We have been through a number of these “negotiation sessions”.
“Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves.”
Mt 10:16.
I’m told the meeting went well, thanks for your prayers.
