"Is that you, you troubler of Israel?" (1 Kings 18:17)
This quote from Ahab might well be placed into the mouths of some of the leaders of the Anglican Church in Canada. After all, the publicity attending the move by several congregations to leave the care of Canadian shepherds is most ... unwelcome.
Yes there has been trouble caused. But who is to blame?

"I have not made trouble for Israel,... but you and your father's family have. You have abandoned the LORD's commands and have followed the Baals." (v.18)
And so the confrontation continued. Who is really to blame? Where has the trouble come from?

O that the the leaders of the ACIC would hear their brothers and sisters worldwide, and in them hear God saying "it is not these congregations which have made trouble for the ACIC, but you have."

My dear Anglican friends. I don’t belong to your church, but am an interested evangelical that has been praying fervently for your leadership and parishioners the last few weeks as news has been unfolding. May I encourage you to “keep on keeping on” in your desire to follow Christ and to remain true to Scripture and classical Christianity. My prayer is that “Pharoah” will let his people go, sooner rather than later, and that you will not be left empty-handed.

I came across this blog recently, and am enjoying it very much. It is up-to-the minute in breaking the news. May God continue to strengthen you and give you His peace. All for Jesus!!
