Most merciful Saviour, we pray for faithful Anglicans forming house churches and church plants. Please help “Anglican orphans” find their way to these new churches, and please grant the church leaders and Network leaders wisdom to walk the path You are leading them on. Amen.
Lord, we beseech thee to keep your household the Church in continual godliness; that through thy protection it may be free from all adversities, and devoutly given to serve thee in good works, to the glory of they Name; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen (Collect, Trinity 22)
I know patience is a virtue but some days I like to take out an ad and see how many we could gather to start a home church. After Bishop Jim’s and the Primate’s response to +Malcolm’s realignment I would like to worship in a positive environment. The Diocese is beyond repair and is seeding the parishes with priests hostile to restoring our Church. I would expect quiet miracles as reserve Sacrament would appear from priests sympathetic but trapped from providing visable support. A church defined at His Command and refined four centuries ago is staggering on the ropes. We have to throw in the towel and turn to those faithful who are waiting for the return of the Church.
Amen! Patience is a virtue, but there also comes a time to act. Easy for me to say, I am lucky enough to go to Fr. George’s church. I know the people who are starting the church plant in Ottawa, if you email me I could put you in touch with them for advice, if you like.
