I'm glad to hear that discussions are taking place with ACiC. Since there are comparatively few Anglican groups in Canada, it might be possible to put together the Common Cause partners in Canada fairly quickly. I would hope to see the ACiC parishes integrate with the Network fairly quickly, perhaps the REC Canadian parishes as well. I am also hoping that Common Cause, and the Essentials Network specifically, will continue to reach out to Anglicans who aren't part of Common Cause.

Thank you Peter for allowing us to follow what is going on at this pivotal conference. As a disaffected "orphan" in NB this conference has given me hope for the future. Our "orthodox" church (Vestry) and rector have refused to even discuss this issue. I (and my family) will be pursuing whatever options within the Anglican Network that will exist within NB.

Thank you, Peter, for enabling me to feel a part of the Conference through your intrepid reporting skills.
My heart is aching for all my friends there. The courage, dignity, straightforwardness and gentleness evidenced by everyone is a beautiful testament to God's presence among you.
The Lord will supply all your needs, according to His riches in glory.
Every blessing, Sheila

"Charlie - what we are trying to do is like trying to build an airplane while we are flying."

Eagles learn to fly when they are finally pushed out of the aerie (nest) by one of their adult parents and not before. It appears that this time, the adult eagles are being shoved by the ones who have not yet learned about flying.
I've no doubt that house churches will be springing up in areas all across Canada and that the "new" Church will not only fly, but will soar as on wings of eagles.
Well done ANiC

Peter: Just wanted to say thank you for the great job you did in keeping us updated yesterday. I would think that a lot of ostriches are trying to figure out what they should do now. David is absolutely right, time to head for higher ground.
