Reading the comments of the Bishops (above) makes me want to just plain laugh out loud. Bsps. Torraville and Coffin of Central and Western Newfoundland Dioceses have basically said (not this time but the next time I will vote in favour). They couldn't because their clergy and laity were strongly opposed. Both Bishops Torraville and Coffin want SSB as much as Micheal Ingham.
What is it with these elected Bishops.. The only ones with courage and Backbones are the ones who stand up for the Supremacy of Scripture.
If Bishops Victoria Mathews, Torraville and Coffin had voted in favour of SSB, it would have been a done deal now and there would be no question whatsoever about Walking apart although I think and feel the ACC already is and will remain apart from the worldwide Communion. Perhaps all should listen to the Global South and the Southern Cone and take their direction and advice. It appears that there is more Scriptural sense in them than there is in Canterbury and the North and the West.
Get back to the basics and back to the Scriptures.

"If you refuse to agree with the fact that there is vice and self seeking, something downright spiteful and wrong in human beings, instead of reconciling yourself to it, when it strikes your life, you will compromise with it (sin) and say it is of no use to battle against it." Have you made allowance for this hour and the power of darkness , or do you take a recognition of yourself that misses out sin?"
"Always beware of an estimate of life which does not recognise the fact that there is sin."
